Thirsty Thursday 5K Series

Races start at 5:30pm, with the start line remaining open until 6:30pm. Participants can start anytime during that window.

Run, drink and gather for only $20 per race, with no processing fees! Registration gets you a bib, chip timing with live results notification text and email, and a free draft beer pour at Good News! Race shirts are available for purchase. *Note that if you plan to run more than one date, you must register for each date individually.

We are excited to introduce our loyalty program starting in 2026! If you register for 4 or more Thirsty Thursday dates, you'll earn a $5 discount code good for any remaining 2026 events, and you'll also receive a $5 discount code for all of the 2027 Thirsty Thursday dates! New in 2026! We'll have age groups on the leaderboard!

All participants who provide a cell phone number during registration will receive a results text and email shortly after finishing. We will not have awards for each individual race, but will keep a yearly leaderboard, and after the October race, we will award $10 gift cards from Fleet Feet to the top male and female times in each age group throughout the year.

We will be offering awards in the following age groups (age based on you age on 12/31/2026):
19 & Under, 20-29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60-69, 70 & Over

We will be bringing back the same soft style shirt in 2026! For an additional $20 you can purchase a commemorative Thirsty Thursday T-shirt that is environmentally friendly! Not only will this shirt let everyone know of your love for running and beer, but it is also crazy soft and carbon neutral! Allmade makes this tri-blend shirt using recycled plastic bottles for the polyester in this shirt. We also have some swag from a variety of past races available for purchase onsite at each Thirsty Thursday at bargain rates each month.

The races start and finish at Good News Brewing in Defiance, MO. The course runs northeast on the Katy Trail to the turnaround and returns to finish near the Good News parking lot. Enjoy the atmosphere of Good News Brewing's great patio while enjoying your free beverage after the race.

Race bibs and any purchased swag will be distributed beginning at 4:30pm on each of the race dates. Visit the Start 2 Finish tent in front of Good News to get your bib. If you register for more than one of our dates, please note that you will need to get a new bib number (and beer ticket!) for each race.

Register risk free! If for any reason we are unable to hold any of the race dates, we will give all participants for that race date the option to transfer to another date (if spots are available) or get a refund* for their race fee. Individuals can request a refund or transfer if they are unable to make it, as long as they give notice by 12pm the day before the event. *Swag purchases are non-refundable, but participants will still be able to get any swag purchased.

If you are part of a group of at least 5 or more (such as a running club, racing team, corporate group, etc.) we can offer group discounts depending on your expected group size. Email jake@s2fevents.com for more information on getting discounted entry for a group.

Will there be on course aid stations? No. We will not be providing any on course fluids or aid. Please plan on carrying any of your hydration and nutritional needs on your own.

Are dogs allowed at the event? Well behaved dogs are allowed at the brewery and in the area, but we do not allow dogs to run on the race course.

Will you hold the event if it rains? Safety of participants and volunteers is our number one priority. We will hold the event in rain, as long as the weather is not severe and a risk to the safety of participants and volunteers. In the event of a race cancellation, all participants registered for that date will receive both a text and email notification.
